Ljungfälleskolan elementary school - Växjö, Sweden
The AVZ SolidScreen is used literally worldwide. And it was also chosen for this school in Sweden.
Building company ABB Bouwgroep transformed 28,500 m² of office space into 587 studios, with floor areas of up to 55 m². Admiraliteit was the largest transformation project ever carried out in The Netherlands. ABB was looking for a specific solution for the facade construction. The developer wanted a facade with which to enclose several functions, from housing to offices and hotel rooms. Spaces that require maximum daylight ingress, though devoid of annoying sunlight glare. A versatile solution was therefore devised for the 144 luxury studios.
In its quest to find a high-quality sunprotection system that also functions well at great heights, Metaglas quickly discovered that the SolidScreen XS was a highly favorable option. It can withstand wind speeds up to 145 km/h and has a very good price-quality ratio. In addition, the extra narrow side guides form a beautiful whole with the frame. One of the added benefits of the SolidScreen is that it serves as a screen, thus keeping insects like flies and mosquitoes outside. All in all, the ideal exterior sunprotecion for this project.
